Adoption, Abandonment & Rejection
Babies, children and teenagers in foster/adoptive homes often experience significant and intense early life stress and trauma. Even those who are placed in the most loving environments still experience deep feelings of abandonment & rejection throughout their lives.
There can be deeply embedded beliefs & feelings as well as subconscious memories of separation, abandonment, feeling unwanted & not good enough and can result in problems in later life with areas surrounding trust, intimacy & forming bonds & relationships with others.
Whatever your experience it is so important to give yourself the time, space and permission of processing through the emotions and feelings you are experiencing as a result of being adopted.
